Oak Project-Ankara
The main aim of the project is to utilize the most common native species of Ankara in restoration and reforestation projects, together with other native plants to form biodiverse habitats.

Oaks were once the dominant trees in Ankara area, however centuries of deforestation left the area bare of its natural vegetation.
Unfortunately, most of the tree planting projects solely focus on non native species. Non native plantations, which are supported by the locals and the government form monocultures, which are devoid of life.
We aim to spread awareness about the native species of Ankara area, like oak, juniper and wild fruiting species. In order to achieve our mission, we establish experimentation sites and native seedling nurseries.
